Sonoma Biotherapeutics

Sonoma Biotherapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing engineered regulatory T cell (Treg) therapies for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.

Referred to us by their bankers, Sonoma sought a fresh narrative that could resonate with investors without getting lost in scientific jargon.

Leveraging our expertise in science communication, marketing, and design, we reimagined their broad “balancing the immune system” narrative. Instead, we crafted a compelling message, tailored to their differentiated scientific approach: “Chronic diseases don’t have to be treated chronically.” This shift not only highlighted Sonoma’s unique positioning but also differentiated them in a competitive field.

We developed a sophisticated design style to reflect Sonoma’s prestigious standing in the field of immunology. We simplified complex scientific concepts into an accessible, persuasive narrative tailored for investors, and created a new corporate presentation.

The new deck was well-received at key investor conferences. It effectively showcased Sonoma’s novel approach to the treatment of autoimmune diseases through Treg cell therapies.

This slide from Sonoma Bio's investor deck highlights the expertise of their co-founders in Treg biology and tolerance. It includes photos and affiliations of key individuals and their seminal work in the field, alongside achievements in treating patients with autologous Treg cells.
This slide from Sonoma Bio's investor deck highlights the challenges associated with the chronic treatment of autoimmune diseases in the U.S. It presents statistics on the number of people affected, the variety of autoimmune diseases, the prevalence in women, and the annual cost of treatment. On the right, it outlines the difficulties in diagnosis, the focus of current treatments on managing symptoms, and the lack of cures.
This slide from Sonoma Bio's investor deck provides an overview of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), including its prevalence in the US, the percentage of patients with difficult-to-treat RA, and the standard of care treatments. An image of hands affected by RA is shown.
