Since company’s inception in 2016 – Ikena’s team has developed several potentially novel programs in different therapeutic areas of oncology. They were looking to raise additional funding to continue development process.
Historically, investors prefer companies with a narrow focus. Ikena’s multi-disciplinary approach to cancer therapies created a challenge in communication with investors. Clear positioning and value proposition became critical in raising funds. Ikena needed a new corporate story that could reflect the level of innovation the company has achieved in science.
We worked with Ikena’s executive team to develop the story, portfolio positioning, written content, and design a creative set of slides for the new fundraising presentation. Our process helped the team realize their unique value, which led to a $120M series B financing followed by a successful IPO (see Ikena’s IPO deck).
